Challenge Theme: 3D Tunnels
Description: The 3D tunnel is a common effect that is found in many demos and is often found in science-fiction shows such as Star Trek and Stargate to represent worm holes. This effect is also employed regularly in racing games. When tunnels are depicted in demos, they are most often comprised of smooth cylindrical volumes that either loop back on themselves or are endless. Often producers will procedurally generate surfaces and textures for the sides of the tunnel in order to add novelty to this well established effect.
The task for this Demo Challenge was to produce a 3D tunnel for your platform of choice. Novice producers were encouraged to focus on just producing a cylindrical volume and placing the camera inside of it. Advanced producers were encouraged to try to incorporate some meaningful secondary effects showing how a tunnel could be used.
